i can't do cardio or lift in the mornings. i can only get in the gym about 5:30 p.m I was told to lift and do cardio on a empty stomach to get good fat loss.

Not sure what you are asking...take it you mean how to train on an empty stomach? Usually about 2 hours after eating can be considered an empty stomach. Normally you eat about every 3 hrs.

Well if you do like us then you eat several small meals during the day. I'm now working out at around 11am and I have my last small meal (oats) at around 9.30am. I'm on a diet (again!) and this works fine for me.

I'm not an advocate for training on an empty stomache. I feel it's catabolic and that the extra fat you might burn would burn just as well if you're not on an empty stomache because you'll have added intensity.
