i've currently got a really bad cough which affects me working out?
would it be better for me to stop working out and wait til i'm fully better or should i stop being a baby and work out through it?
i'm thinking about doing the 1st option, what u think?

I agree if you feel bad take a few days off. When you workout you also lower your immune system somewhat....take a break drink lots of fluids and eat some chicken soup!.

The 'rule' I learned about when you are sick is "Symptoms above the Neck, you can workout, Symptoms below the neck (respiratory), rest"
Take time off and heal, rest, eat healthy foods to support your immune system. And, yes, chicken soup is a proven decongestant!
Rest a few days longer than you think you need to, to avoid a relapse, as is common with chest colds.
Hope you feel better soon!

I find a light workout makes me feel beter. Just light machines, and dbs is what I do. A lil light sweat makes me feel beter and usually takes my mind off the cold.
But fever and chest colds, I would rest.

I think you should stop being a baby and workout lol. I've done that and my cough seemed to get worse. But I felt better after though.

Plus if you stay home, everyone at the gym will appreciate not getting your cold!!!!

I have been sick recently too, a touch of the flu or something related. I don't understand it...I'm not overweight, I don't smoke or drink, I exercise, I eat better than most people I know, and I take vitamins and I still get sick! What's the deal?

Everybody gets sick, but being healthy just helps your immune system, it doesn't prevent getting sick.

we are all but human beings. fallible, weak, and prone to disease. take care and not even a 100% sterile environment would guarantee you from being sick. :)
