1-did you deal with steroids? 2-is it true that only steroids make you get your goals?

The pics in my profile are from a drug free competition. I managed to attain my goals in those pics from working out solidly and consistently for around 6 years without ever going near any steroids.
I wasn't even allowed to take any ephidrine or diuretics the last month and a half and still came in ripped and holding no water.
What I did have to do is go through a strict diet routine and workout like a nut.
You don't need steroids to have muscles and feel good about yourself... You just need to be determined.
I've seen lots of people that have tried steroids and never get anywere. Steroids won't help you reach your goals unless you have everything else in check.
Make sure you do everything else right and then if you do ever plateau and really want to do roids (thinking of going professional against 300 pound shredded duddes), you'll already have the necessary tools to do so.

i did an 846 kg total in powerlifting at a 100 kg bodyweight class. and this was under the ADFPA, the strictest drug free organization in the world (they make the DEA look like school crossing guards!). their list of illegal substances was extremely long; basically, if you're body doesnt make it or you cant get it from food, it was banned. This includes any stimulants and prohormones.
and dang is right: "Steroids won't help you reach your goals unless you have everything else in check." gear wont do the work for you. even if you were doing the juice, you still have to bust your butt to get somewhere.
how i look at it is this way: do the benefits of doing steriods outweigh the long term consequences associated with them. think about it...

The only reason streoids should ever enter a picture is if maybe there is money involved, maybe like a movie career, or a professional sport career. Even then, think twice about what you are putting in jeopardy, and that is the very reason you should be doing this stuff (wieght lifting/bodybuilding), is for your health. Hard work and diet will get much farther in things than a "quick fix". I am 51 years old and in the best health and shape of my life, ready for anything. You will be all the better, and healthier for it. Good luck.
