I heard if i was to stop drinking diet coke, coke, juice, and such...and just drink water i would lose weight....true??? or not

Yes if you don't eat more then you'll stop getting the calories from the other beverages and you'll loose weight.
A better hydrated body is also more effeciently working. :)

You would be cutting out quite a few calories, so yes probably. Not to mention those are 'empty' calories too. Make sure you drink plenty of water though, dont get dehydrated.

how would that differ with Diet Soda since it has no calories? would drinking diet soda be the same as drinking water?

I believe diet soda has artificial sweeteners in it, doesn't it? Some are good, some are bad.. dunno if diet sodas are any better for you than the regular thing...

Most oncologists won't touch diet soda - wonder why? Drink water.

Commercial airline pilots don't drink diet sodas either. But to answer the original question you can lose up to 10 lbs over a year by cutting out sodas,perhaps more with the juices also.
