try loosing a few pounds to get a more defined look...also maybe try some vertical jump programs....not only will vertical jump programs give you nice toned legs, but it will also increase your vertical jump by mad inches...do a web search on free vertical jump programs or go to the top 100 vert sites: http://www.bestvertsites.cjb.net/ I personaly bought a program called air alert and it increased my jump 3 inches in the last week (I just got it) anyways.....goodluck!-------------- ------------------------ Tiffany Der #10 "You have to make it through the rain in order to see the Rainbow........." |

Sign up for an ft program like Robert suggested. Try the 8 week tone and lose weight program, you should achieve the goals you desire. Also remember to tone up you must burn more calories then you consume...diet, diet, diet, good luck!-------------- BQ AMERICAN MADE |

Another thing to remember, if you are lifting, you will gain muscle- which leads to added weight. But Muscle weighs more than fat so don't get discouraged if you gain a few pounds.-------------- Lisa |

Oh no you definitely don't need to loose more weight...... On the contrary. Eat a lot more, do some heavy (but controlled) weight training and get enough rest.Informations to the others: This guy is 6'2 tall but only weights around 145 lbs....... Take a look at one of the FT exercise programs. -------------- - Nina :o) La vie est toujours aussi belle..... |

Well, "they" probably will. If you are exercising consistently, and not making any progress, it most certainly lends to a dietary problem. Check your diet.-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

Hi,
New to this forum, but not new to training. Hoping to get fit and healthy, run a half marathon and live until I'm 110. Kerry |

What many consider eating "well" is not a bodybuilding diet. A diet geared toward lean tissue building. Plus calorie needs become much different. If you are not injesting enough calories, you will not gain. And on the flip side, if you are trying to lose fat(as you say you are), without a caloric deficit, you can never tap your fat stores. Have to keep protein high all the while to perserve lean tissue.

... if you are trying to lose fat(as you say you are), without a caloric deficit, you can never tap your fat stores. Have to keep protein high all the while to perserve lean tissue... I'm on the General Trng/Tone-Wt loss/12 wk abs and do pretty decent-hard cardio 6 dys/week after lifting, of course. My recommended intakes are: 194 p/485 carb/37 fat/3015 cal. I'm always under in total calories and carbs, but also in protein. I usually only get around 140-160g in a day, and I do about 4 small meals/day. I am deployed to Iraq, and get tuna shipped to me and tear up any beef jerky I get my hands on. Those and 'military grade' beef every now and then are the only places I can get protein. Any other ideas? Is this going to inhibit me from gaining lean muscle and toning up, or am I using amino acids intended for muscle growth/recovery to recover from cardio? -------------- Josh and Katie Hollers hollers2@freetrainers.com -We get out of life what we put into it.
