Hi everyone!

I want a few home exercises to include in my daily workout for shaping and toning my butt and thighs. I 've searched and searched but I haven't found anything really. Any suggestions? Pls I' m desparate. It's the one area I have difficulties dealing with, but I don't have the luxury of a machine. What can I do from my house?

There is an at-home no equipment program in the futness section - fill out your gials and then it will give you choices.

Take the stairs two at a time.
Do squats and lunges while talking on the phon.
Hold a bag of flour or gallon of milk while doing squats or lunges.
Whenever you are standing in line somewhere or sitting for a while, tighten up your abs, glutes and thighs and hold for 20-30 seconds, repeat as often as you like.
Do lying bridges while watching tv.
Rent buns of steel from the video store or library.
Do step ups on a sturdy chair or bench.
Jump in place and land softly.

There are lots of at home options, just takes some imagination.

You will also have to clean up your diet - spend some time reading posts in the nutrition forum - lots of good info on what to eat!

Stiff-Legged deadlifts/close stance romanian deadlifts are great for building a great behind and thighs....did wonder for me ...lol..

anywayz...check out 'female thread'...there's a butt/thigh program by kat at the top...she's seeing great results with her routine...check it out...

the other part is to keep making improvements in your diet....'toning' is a 2 step part....gain muscle and lose body fat....so you may want to start cutting out 100 calories from your diet....look for something that's less than healthy and take it out..;.in a year that's like 10.5 pounds...

I had a coach that told us that everytime the commercials come on tv, do pushups, sit ups, crunches, and bodyweight squats. I believe he got this from an nfl player.
You can do bodyweight squats and lunges without any equipment. Hold onto something heavy like milk jugs to increase resistance.
