I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not products such as hydroxycut and ripped fuel eat away lean muscle tissue? I have asked this question before and nobody responded please help. Thanks

since they function in theory by stimulating the central nervous system and thereby increasing the metabolism, then, yes. its possible. if u r still not taking in sufficient kcals to stay in positive nitrogen balance along with the increase in metabolism, the body has to get those needed kcals from somewhere, and it may become catabolic.

hope that helps...........michael

This question has been raised in the Supplements forum. Use your search for previous posts on fat burners.

As far as the main question being asked, it is theoretically possible for the fat burner to go after lean muscle tissue if it cannot find the calories to burn. However, one can avoid this by just consuming the recommended number of calories based on their goal. The fat burner just helps burn the fat that much faster.

No fat burner doesn't burn fat but only calories!!!

Jeremy, if you want to loose only fat then be sure of eating enough protein in your diet (at least 2-3 protein shakes as well), moderate carbs and essentiel fat (don't forget that you need fat to burn fat....)

Without exercise, it'll not work so weight training and cardio is needed as well.

As product, I use Thermonol from GEN (has anybody heard about that one?!!)

Finally, fat burners can be used for a certain period, don't always count on them.
