300 lbs + barbell = $100
Spend the rest on a rack.
You can get a bench to use in the rack for around $30.

Just try any sporting goods dealer. 300lbs with a bar usually never runs over $100. Try a sporting goods dealer, I got mine at dicks.

unless your getting into olympic lifting or powerlifting, then there is no reason to spend more than a couple hundred dollars on several hundred lbs. You don't need an elieko bar to get stronger.
This is one of those few times where it is more expensive to buy online.

Wrestler is right
but you might find a squat-rack with the bench and weights inlcuded. Costco carries them here in Canada, for $499

Look in the bargain section of your local paper. Many times you will find what you need dirt cheap from someone who bought one for Christmas or for a resolution and then found out there was work involved.
