do i put the weight back on the floor and let go in between reps or just keep lowering and pulling up?

keep lowering and pulling. do not let the plates touch the floor b/t reps, and go as low as you can until there is a moderate stretch in your hams.

depends on your goals. I do powerlifting, and so the key for me in deadlifting is dead. The weight has to be dead weight, on the floor, not moving. That is why I rarely do reps on the deadlift, mostly just singles to work on form and get used to the heavy weight in my hands. Most people I have heard say don't let the weight bounce, which is still something I see all the time.

Ahhh, straight leg deadlift. My bad. I was talking about regular deadlift. Yeah, I do these from a platform, so I can't let the weight touch the floor without letting it go. Get a good stretch at the bottom, and hold it for a count of 1-2, and then come up.
