275x1 I had it but spotter grabbed the bar then told me I shouldn't use my legs and next time to keep them in the air or on the bench.

I said no I need to use my legs for power and he says that it your getting all you power from your legs and shouldn't I have a Bodybuilder friend that say, I cut him off right there and said look I need my legs I'm trying to Powerlifting I need my legs and if I don't want to use my legs I'll do Floor Presses.

haha. when i first started lifting with my first group, it was the head strength coach of my school, a nearby school, a guy from DieselCrew, and a few female athletes. We had 3 benches running, and I was on the one with the girls.

Definitely puts things in perspective, but makes you want to work THAT much harder.

btw, from the looks of it, that girls is sexy...

how fast were those DE benches? with a 275 bench, 175+40lbs of chain seems like it would be to much for "speed" work. that is around 65% plus chains.

granted, i dont find speed work to be very helpful with such low benches (mine included)

Wasn't super fast but was fast and any heavier would have been to slow.

Going with a % is just a base we go where it's fast and in good form with 3x5 then work up if we feel good so the 175 was a work up after the speed work.

155x3x5 + Chains (This was fast and I felt the resistance)
175x3 + Chains ( This was fast also with more resistance but this was a work up after my speeds sets)

Speed work with bands and chains is great compared to just speed work with nothing but bar and weight.

I would rather do pauses if I had no chains or bands.

These guys I train with mentor off and copy Super Training and they are going there this weekend.

I actually crapped out on the 305 by losing breath at the bottom but I took some back in and got it up but it wasn't the most graceful of lifts.

you still gotta learn how to stay tight in the hole. we all struggle with it. i was surprised you got the weight up so easily. it was weird, but you seemed to struggle a little finishin at the top.

was that chic gearless? thats some impressive weight...

Gregg is 46 I'm 40!

Me and her are both gearless I don't really consider Power Pants gear to me gear aid your lift and adds poundage Power Pants or at lest mine is just protecting my hips.

I really don't squat good at max effort but I'm only back under Squat Barbell for about 3 or months now after after like about 2 years of sleds and shit.

Plus like I sail I lost all air on the box @ 305 and had to get it back lol.

Inzer Power Pant single ply the 30 buck pair and it give no aid what so ever but I'm not looking for that until I get my form correct and this may time some time.

The Squat is the only lift I do many things wrong with as for the others it's 1 or 2 things but the Squat I seem to fuck it up every where lol.

I wear then after warming up on ME Days but was told today I should have worn the today for Speed Squats Against Green Band (1st time) and as I sit hear my hips tell me the same thing lol.

They really do help my hips that's for sure!

The guys I lift with are going elite this year and I feel must wear gear to compete as they do with the like of Mark Bell a real close friend of theirs as a matter of fact our Bench and SSB is Mark's.

The got up to Super Training once a month for a weekend to pick the brain of the guys there.
