Ok, I am about 5"6' but I think I kind of have an issue. My ribcage, when viewed from the size, is abnormally wide. Not like freak of nature anything you haven't seen before, but I notice it is much wider than a lot of other guys that are even taller than me. Is this going to affect how I look with abs etc? I mean even at a weight that technically should be showing abs I don't really see them.... recently I started weight training about 2 weeks ago and have put on a pound or two, I figured that adding lean muscle would be the best way to cut the calories in a healthy manner. Any opinions on this?

And by wide I mean when you're looking at it from the side not from a front on perspective...

a large ribcage is actually a good starting point to have a large v shape. Nothing to worry about.
