raw eggs

brotherb2010 Posts: 8 Joined: 2006/11/21	2009/08/08, 12:01 AM ok ive searched this three or four times. i've heard from many diff people. most of them respectable that eating raw eggs in the morning is good for you. i know bruce lee used to grind up raw beef and eggs and a couple other things. is this safe in a time when everything gets sprayed?

robijaro Posts: 1 Joined: 2009/08/11	2009/08/11, 10:30 AM the chances of getting poisoned from raw eggs are very slim...i eat raw eggs yolks all the time (not the whites because raw egg whites are harder to digest than cooked, plus i hate egg whites). I buy my eggs direct from the farm so i know they are good quality, and the chickens arent sick so the risk is virtually zero....but even if you are eating conventional eggs the risk is minimal. you can just as easily get poisoned from some contaminated raw vegetables, but no-one ever tells you to not eat raw veggies

Carivan Posts: 8,542 Joined: 2002/01/20	2009/08/12, 08:55 AM To clarify , 'Farm egss' are normally from free range birds, that are allowed to be outdoors and roam, fed vegetable grain, where as 'conventional' are indoors, no light, and usually breathing high toxic fumes from amonia, and fed regular grain that contains all kinds of by products.
