well i heard that lifting weights speeds up your matabolism or something, is that true? and is there a proper way to lift and how much to lift to get that started?

eating more often speeds up metabolism but building muscle burns fat...not sure about directly increasing metabolism

The more muscle your body has the more calories are burned throughout the day. So by increasing the amount of muscle you have you are increasing the amount of calories you burn, dunno about metabolism though.

So, if i just lift weights, and gain muscle ill burn more calories?

if you lift weight and gain muscle, you will burn more calories during the day
