even on the days that im not lifting should i still take a protein shake? and double the amount after cardio...thanks!

Your body still needs the protein and not only the working out days (actually your body needs it even more since it's recovering!).

Now why do you double the amount after cardio?

Everyone is right. You do not grow in the gym. You have to keep up your good nutrition, maybe even moreso on your days off. These are recouperation periods. Your body needs to be fed to accomplish this. And I am with Philia, why double the amount of cardio?

it's true, u grow when u rest. however, i say skip the shake and have yourself some solid protein from whole food. i used to drink 3-4 shakes a day, and it got me nowhere. now, drinking a max of 1 shake a day(if i work out) i've seen much better gains from whole foods

no i meant should i still double the dosage of protein shake? cause after my training i have 2 scoops but when i just do cardio im not lifting so i thought maybe i should have one scoop..
