Still motivated!
Week One and Two:
I started at 195 2 1/2 weeks ago, Cleaned up my diet as much as possible, started the muscle toning/fat loss program, the 12 week abdominal routine, and did 6 days of intense cardio. I worked on form, getting back into the swing, focused on a strict diet, and I also coached another guy along who needed guidance on this lifestyle.
I was down to 191 in a week.

Week Three: 14 MAR- 188 lbs. Still bustin my tail w/ the fat loss and ab program. Focusing lately on increasing in weights w/ proper form and still getting targeted reps, and also firing my abs every single rep. Encorparated HIIT into cardio program (now 4-5 times/week) and maintaing flexibility. I also added a protein supplement this week, can't wait to see the results.
Overall, I'm still very excited and getting stronger and losing that nasty fat. I finally broke down and shaved my chest for the first time. I know you probably didn't want to hear that, but I am amazed at the difference. I have the beginnings of a great lookin chest! It motivates me anyways to keep this up! Cheers!

Good for you... I am jealous of your progress, sometimes I feel I'll be stuck at this weight forever. What did cleaning up your diet entail ??

WOW!

Apparently there really ARE 'those that care'! Thank you to all who have responded, it adds more fuel to the motivation fire! I'll hit it even harder now!

First off, you can do this. If you know what you need to do, you just have to get up and do it! It's the only way. And, don't worry what the scales are saying. If you know you're diet is where it should be, and you feel stronger, you're most likely losing fat but gaining muscle. Use a tape measure instead to track progress. This is what I've done so far, almost 4 weeks in:
I did exactly what the moderators and advisors say to do. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I shocked my diet, and took out every bit of sugar, fats, complex carbs, starches, sweets, etc that had no nutritional value, and added some sort of protein and thermogenic fruit.Basically, if it wasn't helping, it went out. Water bottles became an extension of my arms, and I drank about a gallon or more a day. I took a multivitamin to keep nutrients in my body and a thermogenic supplement to assist fat burn.
I initially cranked up on cardio; the first two weeks I did 6 days a week of intensive cardio after my workouts. That's when I started noticing some differences, so I cut just a few more things out of the diet that were still not neccessary and added a protein supplement to aid in more muscle development. The third week dropped I down to 5 days of cardio, next week I'll do 4, and I'll stay around 3-4 a week, with HIIT the staple of my cardio.
That's it in a nutshell. I will be living proof that this website has made a difference in improving people's lives!
I hope this helps. As always, feel free anyone to critique.

Josh

Thanks for the break down...it's really encouraging. I have been weeding out the bad food in gradual phases, but I'm going to try shocking my diet completely just like u did. Congratulations with your progress, I hope to post something similar to that soon...
