Ok so I am bored with my current routine(see journal for that). So I decided to throw it out to all of you. Pick my next routine, remember that Mutt likes compound exercises, and that I work one body part per day. Oh yeah I also have no shoulder press bench, or decline bench, my db only go up(in pairs) to 85lbs. Also I do not like machines! Other than that all else is fair game. Light weight high rep, heavy weight low rep etc.....

How 'bout deepsquatter's 3x3 workout. It looks right up your alley. I want to try it too when I get my new place set up. Go to Deepsquatter .com. Look for 3x3's in the archives.

Hey Mutt, check out AST's MAX-OT program. I am a HUGE beleiver in that system and have achieved nothing less than extraordinary results with this program. It does not only talk about the physical aspect, but goes into the mental preparation and dieting aspect as well. It's all about heavy, compound movements, NO MACHINES ALLOWED!, and no isolation movements.

Isometrics are a time honored workout aid. Time under tension is essential to growth. They should not be your workout though. Incorporating them into your workout is great, such as upon failure, hold the weight in a less than locked out postition until if feels like it is going to drop on you or fall, depending on the exercise you are doing it with. Make certain you have a good spotter for instance on bench.
