Hi rockster and welcome to FT. Take the time to browse thru the site and educate yourself on good nutrition and exercise routines. There is tons of great info and supportive people here to help. A great routine is to do cardio (which includes your aerobics) 2-3X/week and weight train 2-3X/week. It is best to alternate cardio and wt. training days. Try and spend 20-40min of mid-high intensity cardio and 45-60min of vigorous wt. training, and include free weights in your workout. It's best to focus on compound exercises like bench presses, pull ups, pull downs, rows, squats, lunges etc. Check out the FT exercise programs which are free on this site.
Good Luck with your goals! -------------- Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there. |

Are you new to working out? What is your hieght? It is helpful to fill out your profile so we can see what your goals are. The focus you have (wt training vs aerobics) will depend on what your goals are...loose fat, build muscle, tone etc.

There is not Tricep bicep and or shoulder work listedin your plan. In my opinion too much cardio/aerobics, and not enough weights.-------------- Less Talk, More Chalk! The Men and Boys are Separated by one thing: The Squat Cage! 7707mutt@freetrainers.com |

Well actually in the abs class that I go for.We do free weights. In which we spend entirehour in 4 sessions.
first 15 legs. 2nd 15 for abs 3rd 15 triceps and biceps. 4th 15 for chest and stretching. Do you think I need to increase the bicep and shoulder. ============ Quoting from 7707mutt: There is not Tricep bicep and or shoulder work listedin your plan. At 5'1" and 127lbs you're at a healthy BMI. As mutt suggests, I'd focus on doing wt training 2-3X/week for 45min-1hr. Nothing wrong with doing the cardio, just make sure you get your wt training sessions in. I highly recommend focusing on large muscle groups. In one session you could focus on lower body and do 3-4 sets of walking lunges, 3-4 sets of squats, leg extentions, leg curls, dead lifts . On the other day you could focus on upper body and do pushups, flat bench presses, incline presses, pec flies, pull ups, seated rows and wide lat pull downs. On each day, at the end, throw in some smaller muscles exercises like bicept curls, tricept kick backs, calf raises, front raises, lat raises etc. You'll be amazed at the changes in your body if you focus on wt training instead of cardio. You have to push yourself in each session to really get results though. Again, the programs on this site will give you a great start.
