WOW that is a loaded question. It really depends on a few factors. Your genes, how you gain muscle. Your diet. Your workout program all factor into the mass gains you might want. Most beginners see good gains for the first few weeks to a few months. If you add size quickly you will see a difference in a few weeks

No answers there. You cannot really tell (and for us women it takes longer than men).
Normally you'll start to see results after around 6 weeks.

Muscle growth is direct result of the stimulus you put on it. For example, someone who trains using the overload principles on a regular basis, along with a quality diet can expect pretty good muscle growth. Now, take the same person, and have him/her train one time hard, the next 3 times spend more time talking in the gym, cheat on the nutritional front, well, expect much less if any muscle growth. Effort in results in quality gains out. Some people may be a bit more genetically gifted, and see more results, but if you do your utmost work, you will recieve your maximum gains for your level.

I agree with the others....it depends on genes mostly. I've always been able to pump up kind of quickly. I'm in my 5th week so far and I'm only toning, but I've already added 2.5" to my thighs.

Of course, my thighs have always been big. I can never find pants b/c of my thighs. Right now they are up to 34 inches. Pretty big, huh? haha
