Depends on what kind. Whole milk isn't so great just because of the fat. Skim milk is perfectly fine, and in fact if you're trying to gain mass, it's a great way to increase your calories in a well balanced form.
It all depends on the context of how "bad" is used. If you drink a gallon of whole milk a day, it's "bad" for you because of the amount of fat and over-all calories you'd be consuming. Anything can be bad if you eat too much of it.

Im asking if anyone has any research on this because I keep hearing it. I drink a lot of milk so it interests me.
I guess a website about working out probably was a dumb place to look for thoughtful answers.
Mutt how about you just give us your research on cheeseburgers. knowimsayin? RRRRREH

Milk is fine. There is a group of anti milk nazi's, and then a group of milk advocates. Both go to extremes, and as usual extremist's are just that.

There are precious few things that someone is not taking a stance against, and not always without valid arguments.

I have researched both sides, and in the end the verdict is pretty much do what works for you. While milk may have its 'faults', I have heard of noone who died from it as a direct result.

In my view, only if you are lactose intolerant is there much reason to conciously avoid milk to any degree.
