Medication hinder

I am on a couple of mental health medications, and the side effect for both is weight gain. Does this mean I have to work harder? About a month ago I didn't have my medicine for 2 weeks. During this time I lost 3 pounds without changing any of my habbits. Being overweight makes me more depressed than allreay am. I would hate to think that no matter what I did I would continue to be overweight because of my medicine.

It sounds like you might just be retaining water but I would bounce this off my doctor.

I don't know about your specific condition but I overcame depression by living in the moment. I know it's harder to do then say but not worrying about the future or dwelling on the past cuts down on stress and lets you realize how much of the present you've been missing. Just thought I'd spit that out.

Because of your medications, you'll just need to monitor your diet a little tighter. Stay away from the empty carbs, and keep consistent in the gym. Try eating 4-6 small meals during the day to keep your metabolism going.

Things with a lot of sugars: donuts, candy bars, etc. Sodas, slurpees, chips, that kind of stuff.
