Just a couple questions. Been working out and changed diet for 3 weeks approximately now. I have noticed that my pants are extremely loose in the waist now (used to wear a 40) and I can now wear a 38 comfortably, however, my waist measurement has stayed exactly the same. I have noticed a loss in my stomach fat, but the waist drives me nuts. Especially with the body fat formula on here. I see a noticeable difference, but the tape and formula do not show it?
Ideas? Suggestions? Oh, also, my chest went down? HUH?
Help!

jhadams - enjoy the fat loss! Skip the measuring tape and enjoy the fact that your pants are looser (don't forget a belt eh?)If you are seeing results only 3 weeks after beginning a program - you have earned the right to feel proud! Keep it up man! Wait until your 6 months in - you are really going to be pleased!Good work.

The measurements on this site are a little frustrating - find a trainer that will do skinfold caliper bodyfat measurement for you, should be free or relatively low cost. A lot of trainers offer free consultations - take advantage of that and get a fitness assesment and body comp done.
Be happy your pants are looser - that is more important than any numbers! And keep up the good work!

Both suggestions are great jhadams!! You have done well, just keep on doing what you're doing and you will get the results you want. Focusing constantly on the weight and measurements can really bring people down because they fluctuate at times. Let your body and clothing tell you your results!

Hello. As for your measurements , good job! When i take my measurements i only take them once a month (usually on the 1st) and first thing in the morning (in the buff). I hope that helps.

Haha, asimmer, I cut out the oatmeal last week! Doing everything but that. ;p Hey, could I do grits instead of oatmeal? The oatmeal was just making me wanna hurl! hehe.
Carivan, thanks for that. I will wait a bit before the next one, build up the suspense!
