I need to know if anyone has ever had man boobs and lost them? I am 17, 6'0, 210 lbs, male. How can I lose them and how long will it take?

Yes, it it is simply a weight problem. However, if you have Gynecomastia, nothing short of surgery will fully alleviate the problem.

The question of how long it will take to rid yourself of the 'man-boobs' is up to you. The harder you work, the faster they disappear. Work is not just in the gym; weight loss is more a matter of caloric intake (diet) vs. expenditure (exercise).

Just a question SFGiants, how can you be so sure it is Gynecomastia? Is there a way to tell? There is a possibility its just a temporary hormonal imbalance, as I read many places. I'm 17, 210 lbs, 6'0, male. I'm hoping the reason I got them is indeed the hormonal imbalance

Yeah man just by looking at your pitcher to be honest I thought you were a chubby girl.

Have your parents take you to a doctor and let them address this issue with you because we can't do nothing for you here.

Did you guys hear about something called hormonal imbalance during puberty? I just don't see how you guys can be so sure about this gynecomastia diagnosis. No I haven't gone to a doctor, but honestly I cannot think I have it...I'm starting to sound in denial...I'm posting another picture up to show you guys my current body form. Can you look at these and then tell me what you think? They have gotten smaller and hopefully will end up in the state of muscle man boobs(the good-looking hard muscle boobs ;))

I hope I'm wrong but I have played with quit a few boobies in my time and you have the look of womens boobs.

Even a women while losing weight lose size to their breast!

All I'm saying is don't be sorry later by not getting professional advice from a doctor!

If we are wrong then we are wrong and no harm done but dude you look like you have womens breast period!

Hormonal imbalance during puberty and early childhood has been an overlooked problem for many years. It is just coming to light with the advent of male 'menopause'. This has caused the powers that be to take a second look at things. Hormonal imbalance is actually fairly chronic. Estrogen levels are higher than test levels.

One of my 'pet' advocations is male homones. I am a huge fan of hormone therapy for men, TRT. I truly believe that in the next 10 yrs., maybe as much as half of the male population will be on it.

I have some great info and sites on this if you are interested.

You know what... don't freak out. I had them through most of my child hood. I was a big kid back in the day. Now I'm 19 (close to 20) and mine are dissapearing. In fact, I always notice that they get "fatter" whenever I overindulge my eating. But when I eat healthy and MODERATELY (that's a big helpful word right there) and exercise (or do something!), they will loose that fat.

Besides, I think it's also a matter of growing into them. lol that does sound weird.
