hey ppl. im in track right now and i am a long distance runner so i run a couple miles a day for practice. i was wondering if i should just leave leg workouts out completely throughout the season to keep them from being overworked.
let me know what you think

Check out this link. It was a good study posted by one of the regulars here showing that strength training is good for endurance runners. Can't argue science.

You can indeed argue science. Just because something was shown to be true in a clinical setting under a certain set of circumstances using certain measurements does not make it fact in all cases.
However, in this case, this is something I believe in strongly, based on rational thought, science, and most importantly experiance.
