Hi, I'm having problems with my legs lagging. I'm thinking of working legs on monday as well as thursday. Thursday is Heavy. If I work them out on Monday should it be heavy too, or something like a medium leg workout on Monday and heavy on Thursday? This is my split.
Mon - Back
Tue - Arms
Abs
Wed - Off
thu - Legs
Fri - Chest
Abs's

Why dont you pair up your easiest wo wokouts onto one day leaving room for your legs on a different day...

Like move my back day tuesday and do two individual leg days. The thing about that is even though tues is my easiest day it's also longest day. Mon, Thurs, and Fri usually only last about 45 to 55 minutes, but tues is always well over an hour. If I added my back routine to it I'd be working out for at least 2 hrs. That's why I wanted to know should both days be full intensity. If not, I can handle a medium leg workout after an intense back workout, and still go all out on Thursday. But if Ya'll think two intense leg workout's a week wouldn't be overdoing it I could move back day to tuesday and just kill my legs two days a week.:dumbbell::angry:

One way to do it would be to seperate your muscles just like you do your other muscles. For example:
Monday: Posterior chain (deep wide stancebox squats, SLDL, Glute ham raise, leg curl, calfs)
Thursday: Quads & Hip flexors (close stance front squats, lunges, leg extensions, leg raises)

How exactly do you train your arms longer than your other muscle groups? You realize your hitting your arms everytime you do compound chest and back exercises, right?

Isolation to aid compound? Can someone explain that to me?
