right now I am mainly concentrating on losing weight so I have been doing just cardio and not doing weights, when I get down to 250 I will have 30 pounds to go before I am at my goal weight and want to start to lift weights to tone up while I am losing the rest of the weight I need to lose, my question is, I have heard that when lifting weights you want to increase your carb intake, is this true and if it is should I be doing that since I am still focusing on losing the remaining weight or should I stick with what I am doing now with the low card high protein diet. Really need some help here a little confused.

Well I am by far the least likely person to give meal plan tips(we do not like the word diet). But I am a huge fan of a high protein, lower carb(not very ow they give needed energy), and good fats. I think that adding some nice hard heavy, (slowly at first of course) weighttraining may be the best thing for you. Eat a lot of protein and drink a lot of water!!!

If fat loss is your primary goal, just stay with the diet you are doing. High protein, low carb is optimal. Do your resistance training, do not wait. This will aid you all the much more in your battle of the bulge. Have your carbs, but make sure they are fibrous. This will aid your fat loss even more(increase metabolism) also. Stay away from starchy and sugary carbs. Your body does not know the difference between a piece of white bread or a potato and a tbsp. of sugar. This is the danger of the wrong carbs, insulin surges, thus fat storage.

could you give me some examples of fiberous cards, I am not that familiar with the different types of carbs there are and what to eat as far as carbs go.
