Uh, no. Your ab muscles are just like any othe muscles on your body, you should not train them every day. The key to a six pack is a good diet, though. You can have a six pack, but it won't be visible through layers of fat.

Mack is right on with that one. Nice abs are a product of good diet. The only way to cut the bf is a clean diet. Most of us who work out and do crunches etc have the abs, but they dont show under a layer of fat. Sometimes the ab muscles make your belly look larger beacause of the fat. Good Luck

Abs are a direct product of diet. If you want stomach muscles, then train them like muscles, no more than twice per week with resistance. That is the 20%. Diet is the 80%. Without proper diet, you can build all the abs in the world but they will never show. In fact you will look bigger as carivan said. If you are satisfied with your physique..i.e....muscle size everywhere else, then you can diet with high protein, low glycemic carbs, cardio for extra calorie burn, and you will lose fat and see abs eventually. But don't count on gaining any muscle elsewhere. Muscle gain is a product of heavy work and lots of calories, defeating the ab diet. So the choice is yours. If you are very lean otherwise, you may want to opt to gain some muscle first. Good luck.
