Does anybody know any good exercises or stretches to strengthen a hip flexor. I injured mine playing softball and the soreness wont go away.

I have a similar injury which was caused by running (and age)and mine is taking forever to heal (although not running would probably help--but that just isn't going to happen!) A great stretch can be found at the following link:

Get in the habit of stretching you hip flexors regularily. Also, make sure your building muscle in a balanced fashion for both your quads and hamstrings. It is often an imbalance in strength that leads to hip flexor problems.

Personally, I'm doing physio to help speed my recovery, but even my physical therapist keeps saying that I should just stop running....ya whatever....

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

I would see an ART specialist. A lot of people have scar tissue surrounding the hip, as well as tight hip flexors, and ART can really help this.

Iron and chalk.

Pain is only temporary, it is in your mind. If you can still walk, then you can still run.
