you can start at a fast walk and build your pace up by shaving a few seconds off everytime out. This will allow your body to eventually run without the need to breathe heavy. good luck and welcome to FT.

I had asthma as well, but if you work with it, slowly and steadily increasing the frequency and duration of the jogging you should be ok. You SHOULD consult your doctor of course. It all depends on the severity of your particular condition.

Do you have a ventilen puffer? typically if you take the puffer before exercise, it stops the asthma from coming on. I also have it very mild, and it only affects me when I play hockey, the colder air brings it out, but by taking the puffer before playing I'm fine.
Also if you need to take the Ventilin puffer more than 3x's a week, you may want to look at another option. Consult with your Dr about it.

I do not have anything for my asthma since it is very mild, i did not want to take anything for it, but I think I will look into an inhaler, My doctor gave me singular but I dont like to take it because I do not need it everyday, only when I excersize. Thank you all!

As with everything medical related, go with your Dr's advice first!
That said, I used to have exercise induced asthma, but it hasn't bothered me in years. You might try these things:
- If you have other things that trigger your asthma (pollen, etc.), exercise indoors
- Swim. Apparently the high humidity doesn't irritate the lungs as much as running, so swimming is a good way to build your lungs endurance without triggering an attack.
