My gym closed down....:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

It used to be Oasis Fitness in Richmond Hill ON

Does anyone know if something can be done since I paid my membership in full ?

There`s a new gym that just opened but it`s quite expensive $800 just for reg gym. $2200 for full.

I think I just start buying my own equipment...

In most provinces it is against the law to pay a full year up front, for those reasons. Any Gold's,or 24hr fitness in your area?

Sorry to hear that....I learned that lesson quite a few years ago. I never ever pay a years membership, or <gasp> the lifetime membership!

There are so many gyms opening up around Toronto these days, I'm sure you can find one cheaper. Typical memberships run about $40/month, and includes wts, cardio and classes. Some have initiation fees, but usually you can get out of paying that. They typically want you to commit for a year, but pay monthly. Many will give you 30days free. Sorry to hear about you being ripped off--happened to me years ago as well, now I never pay up front!

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

A bunch of my coworkers all go to a GYM that just shut down as well. My one buddy was paid up through November of 2006!! They're all scrambling to find new ones to join, I'm trying to get someone to come to my gym so I can have a workout buddy but no luck :(

thnx guys ....

there`s a new gym opening in place of that one it`s called FLEX FITNESS...I`m just thinking if it`s not the same owner (or one of the owners) ... they offer me $25, which is a good deal...

well, I`ve learned my lesson not to pay up front... I just hate montly payments.... I used to go to Bally`s and always paid up front with no problem....

well, I ahve to find something fast
I was considering to get my own equipment, but I`m also saving up for a wedding next year, so can`t do that now.
