Hi
I have been working out about 4 days a week for football and baseball. Everytime I workout it seems like when I dont lift ( on weekends or when lifting is cancled) the next day my muscles look smaller for some reason, Is there something wrong or is this just normal?

You are probably noticing the pump go down. What are you eating? Are you depleting glycogen, like low carbs? This will make you look quite "flat".

I eat 4-5 meals a day. What do you mean by depleting glycogen, like low carbs?

if you don't know, then your probably not doing it. If your following atkins or another low carb diet, it is very difficult to gain mass.

Then you are doing something wrong.
Whats your workout program? Be specific.

Set/rep?
How long have you been doing this routine?
In that order?

You want your big lifts first. Theres a saying that you get 75% of your results from 25% of your lifts. So you want things like squat, power clean, push press and deadlift before useless (well not totally) exercises like leg extensions, tricep kickbacks (why?!).
Can you do pull ups? If so, I recommend changing your lat pull downs for pull ups.
Your doing some form of pressing exercise 4 days a week. As well as squats/deadlifts 4 days a week. Seems high volume to me. Is this a program your coach is having you do, or could you change it if you wanted?

If you have a sound lifting program, and varying things up as needed, then your diet is insufficient for your goals, plain and simple. The only reason anyone cannot grow is inadequate diet. How much of a proportion of the growth is muscle and how much is fat is much gene(genetics) dependent. But you can grow with enough calories no matter who you are.

Its a program the coach has me on. Do you think maybe not enough sleep could be a problem? I only get about 6 hours a night.
