agh, sorry..posted before i finished.
Anyway, my question is that..for as long as i have lifted i have had problems building muscle mass. I have tried everything, from the one muscle a week to working each muscle twice a week. I have tried many exercises, and nothing seems to help build muscle. I do take in a good amount of protein incase you were wondering.
Currently, my scheduel is the following:
1 day a week ) 12 sets or so of chest
1 day a week ) 12 sets of so of tricep and a couple sets of shoulder
1 day a week ) 12 sets or so of bicep, and back.
Am i doing too many sets? or is something else wrong here?
Thanks in advanced for all the help.

Not enough info what are your reps like how much weight and what exactly are you doing for each set. Also what is you diet like

As mutt asks, what is your diet like? YOu say you take in enough protein, and you very well may, but this does not insure your nutrient base is correct for building muscle. Protein needs to be "spared" so it can be used for building muscle. 90% of new trainers or even many who have lifted for a very long time always want to add more exercise, when the answer lies in adequate diet. You must take in an abundance of calories, it must be a minimum of 250 a day over your maintenance calorie requirements, and more is better.
-------------- Great people never want it easier, they just want to be better!

Well to answer your question..I take in about 90 grams a day when not lifting, and about 140 when lifting. I don't eat too much day due to school, but i eat whenever i can.
