Does anyone here do any functional training, and if so, I'd like to know what exercises you do and how often you do them.

I think all the training I do is functional! At least I was always under that assumption. Not sure what you mean.

Sorry for being too general. When I say functional I mean doing balance type exercises, stability ball exercises, body weight exercises, medicine ball, dyna disc, AireX pad, etc.

The Swiss ball is an excellent core ab building and overall muscle tie in aid. Just be careful with it. The others?????

by bodyweight exercises, i'm guessing you mean like push-ups, chins, and dips? if so, they can by very beneficial to your overall training. medicine ball can be very helpful as well; but with how most people would train with it, they make it pointless. and i agree with bb1fit re: the swiss ball.

When I say bodyweight exercises I am referring to things like one legged squats, step ups, reaching lungs, etc. Actually I am referring to any exercise that can be done in the 3 different planes of motion (sagittal, frontal, transverse). The dyna disc and AireX are for balance exercises like standing on one leg and doing reaches. Have any of you tried any of this stuff?
