When does someone consider themselves advanced? How many years of training to get to this level.

it's not all about years, either; it's also about intensity and CORRECT experience as well.

Ok then, so let me ask you this. I've been working out consistenly for the last 1 1/2 years, and I just completed the 8 week muscle mass program. I've seemed to of hit a plateau, and I'm not sure if I should pick the advanced 12 week program or not. I know I'm dedicated, and I give every workout 110%. In your opinion, should I try another 8 week muscle mass program, or should I give the 12 week mass a shot?

from just what you told me, i would take some time off, and then why not hit the 12 week full-bore, no-holes-barred? if your intensity and experience are at the level you say they are, and i do believe that they are, you will know within the first few weeks either: A. Wooooo Hoooooo! I am making some major freakin' gains! I'm an animal! I'm gonna keep goin' and get even more massive! or B. This program is kicking my a$$! maybe it's too much for me right now. I'm a wimp. i need some more time as an intermediate.......NOT!
Sarcasm aside, bottom line is: rock 'n' roll, bro, and see what happens! Best of luck!

When you start listening to your body and gives it the proper work out, cardio, diet and rest.
When you can FEEL each muscle working, and do the right amount of sets, intensity and reps and get the right results as well.
Why not try? I'm sure you'll do great.
