hi to everyone who is reading, and i'd just like to say ''that ft is a great place to be''i've been watching the fitness competitions on t.v and i've subscribed to muscle & fitness hers magazine and i think all the fitness women for example laura mak, lisa reed, beth horn, jenny worth etc they look so fantastic.i know they have all been really sporty growing up and that they have done gymnastics and all that kinda stuff.is it possible for someone like me who has never done gymnastics to compete in fitness comps.i've had 2 kids and i'm 22 yrs old and i'm 5ft 5 and i weigh approx 145lbs.i've been into the 'getting fit lifestyle' since i had my son 6 years ago but i have never stuck to anything and i've always been the person who buys fitness stuff off t.v and never use it.i've decided now it's time to throw away all my gadgets and get in the gym with a trainer and get that jenny worth(i wish)bod!!!!!i would love to do any kind of fitness comps i wanna feel like i can really train hard for something and achieve goals.it seems so possible more now than ever for a normal gal like me to achieve a great physique coz all i see now is websites of women who have dropped 100lbs and now they have a great body and also on jenny jones the women on there come out to show their new and improved muscular body!!!sorry i have took so long guys i hope i haven't put you to sleep yet.let me know your expert opinions.thanx so much luv from fitnessfemale xx

the gymnastics-type is only one style of fitness comp. another style, and in my opinion prob more difficult, is the endurance style. with these, you have the physique round like the other, but instead of tumbling around on a stage, you are put through an obstacle course and timed. this can include: climbing walls, etc., and can even have a timed distance on something like a versa-climber or stair climber (not stair master) - something like climbing 20 stories in 5 minutes.
the best thing to do is do a little research, and find which one suits you best, and then find one to actually go watch. and talk to nina here on the board. she is our resident fitness competitor.
best of luck, and let us know if we can help at all...

And it's rather funny because I'll be doing a different sort of fitness competition in November. They have called the comp "Fitness American Style"!!!! (so now I need to whiten my teeth and get silicone breasts?!!!!! lol sorry folks, couldn't help that one lol)
Now what's new for me in this comp is that it's not really necessairy to do all the normal BB posing but simply back, front, side (with a big smile of course!), the around 1 min of dancing and THEN I'll get on a sexy little night dress and say hello to everybody using the microphone (lol they will love my accent!!)
AND the very best is that I can win some MONEY by doing this!!! Hmmm let's see how it'll go.
