fit after cancer?

i am a 5 yr. cancer suvivor, and i started working out with weights 3 yrs ago to gain back weight and musclei am back to my original weight of 180 but there is little or no muscle tone. i dont want to be big just cut.i also need help with my diet. i cant eat dry foods very well, since i have no saliva from radiation. any help would be appreciated

No offense, but that sounds like the kind of thing you need to be discussing with your doctor not a message board.

First off let me congratulate you on what you have gone through. I understand a bit as I have a very good friend who is basically in your same boat. Cancer survivor, now weight issues.

In your case even moreso than most diet is extremely important. You say you have gained back your previous weight but very little muscle. 'listening to yourself' this should set off warning bells and whistles. Be aware the higher your fat profile, the higher the propensity of what you intake going to fat stores. Be very careful here, you could end up with a whole different set of problems in an effort to gain weight..i.e...diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
