Hey all,
I need some advice. I have been working out in the morning before I go to school for about a month now. But just lately, when my alarm goes off, I get this really depressed feeling and go back to sleep. I think that it's because it's dark and quiet and I get kinda lonely or something. Then later when I wake up I feel even more tired and guilty for not going to the gym. Are there any little things that I could do to get myself motivated not to sink back into the pillows?
Thanks,
Amy

I think you just gotta do it.. remind yourself why you were doing it in the first place... perhaps change the exercise time to the afternoon or evening... variety is the spice life so change the routine time along with the exercises every now and again...

How much have you been working out, how long and how hard? Maybe you are overtrained and need a litle rest.

Othrwise, you need to focus on your goals and figure out why you want to work out and tell yourself you only have to do ten minutes, but you have to go (by that time you wil feel good and stay to finish the workout).

How is your nutritional support for your workouts?

I've been working out fairly hard for the last two weeks, I just got back from a full week of skiing and the time change may be throwing me off a bit, it's two hours earlier in Colorado than from where I live now. I think I've been eating enough, mostly things like whole wheat toast or some cereal, fruit for a snack, a turkey sandwich and a diet coke for lunch, mostly that kind of stuff.

Fill out your profile, eat more protein, rest for a day or two. Make sure you aren't overdoing cardio and fatigueing your heart.

Look around on how to eat properly for the results you want - tons of posts around here.
