Try fresh first then frozen - I hate canned veggies
if cooking try adding herbs & a touch of butter or cheese

I love adding alot of them into a stir fry

You also might consider some to the V8 slash drinks

First tell us why you can't take a bite out of them. Maybe you just never had them done the way you would like them. I never liked turkey because it was always dry, but then someone didn't over cook it, and I began liking it.

If you can dream it, if you can imagine it, then you can be it, you can do it. If it is meaningful enough, and you commit the energy of your passion, you will.

Sometimes I get those frozen ones that are single serve with flavors like, "broccoli and cheese" and Italian style with garlic".

I think I read somewhere that you have to eat somethings like 10 times before you develop a taste for it.

You can also try to eat them with a healthy dip. Brocolli and dip is awesome.

My advice would be to get over it. Think of pizza while you eat the veggies. Works for me.

Do you like potatoes, corn, tomatoes... Salsa has tomatoes in it, and potatoes without all the butter and cheese are a healthy choice. These are some vegetables that most people do like.

I just loooove crunchy veggies!!
Why not try to cook them in different ways to see what suits you the best?
What about veg juices?
If you "mentally" don't like them then cut them in tiny pieces and mix them with your normal food.

I also do not like cooked vegetables, but bring on the salad. I eat salad every night with lean protein and an all natural dressing(lots of it)
Naked juices-green machine is awesum and maricle greens in my morning protein shake. Only 5 servings a day and that you can get in a salad. (FDA)
See you in the vegetable section LOL

I hate carrots as well. So my solution is that I don't eat carrots, but I DO eat the few veggies that I do like - green beans, brocolli, tomatoes, pea pods....
I do not force myself to try to like carrots.

I also try to eat them as something. Rather than just having steamed broccoli (which bores me to death) I'll have stir fry with broccoli, pea pods and chicken breast (really easy to make too), or fajitas with peppers.

I also love salads and it's easy to add stuff to that - baby spinach is good too, if you can't stand eating a whole spinach salad, but add some baby leaves to your regular lettuce.

Otherwise, juice works too.

At one time you used to have to hide them in something for me to eat 'em. There are alot of very good reasons to eat 'em though. one being their nutrient dense, another is fiber. Just do as several have mentioned, try them a few different ways and see what works best for you. I personal like fresh. Like I said you used to have to hide them in something for me to eat 'em, but now I eat fresh broccoli like it's a chicken leg or somethin'.

Ugh! I hate vegetables as well! Especially greens! I know how good they are, but no matter how much i try them, i still hate them! If you dont like certain foods you shouldnt have to force feed them to yourself!! Although the advise above sounds great, it just doesnt work for me!!!

Anyone know how to loose weight without having to eat green vegetables??

A lot can be learned just browsing the threads in the specific diet and nutrition forum. Other alternatives to green veggies can be found in the "grocery list for healthy eating" in the same forum. I wasn't much on brocolli when I first started eating it but now I actually like it so go figure. Good luck with your goals and welcome to the site!

Preparing veggies in different ways gives them different tastes. Like try boiling them in chicken broth instead of just water. Try grilling veggies on the grill like kabobs? Try different cooking methods often times makes them taste nothing like you are used to.

I can eat potatoes, corn and carrots, but I can't manage to eat a green filled salad. Overall, I eat pretty good, but I am lacking in green vegetables. After reading the posts on here, I tried making myself eat a salad. It didnt work very well. I dont like the texture, and I am pretty sure it is a mental thing that I have to get over. I hear your taste buds change every 7 years, so maybe as time passes I will learn to enjoy those nasty green vegetables. However, I have taken this advise, and I am going to continue to try them, cuz you will never know if u like something unless u try!
