Ok my program makes me use parallel bar dips and I know it says it targets the pecs and stuff but whenever I do it I don't really feel it there, plus on my machine that I have to do instead of it which is a dip assist machine but I do it unassisted it says it just trains the triceps and lats :-/ whats the deal

If you lean forwardm it targets the chest/pecs... if you lean back, it focuses more on the triceps. Also, try and keep the arms straight out instead of straight back.

Dips are like Chins Ups (except just a little easier for me)...it'll take time to develop the muscles to do them correctly and to learn the form to hit all the areas. Keep doing them and try to do more each day. If you use an assist machine that's fine, but make sure you'r scaling the weight off each time. Within a month or so you should be able to do with less struggle then what you're having now, as well as be able to targe the tri's and chest after you figure out the best angles to tilt.
