The first thing you need to do is write down exactly how many calories you are taking in. The second is that you aren't giving a realistic goal for your weight loss. A lady friend of mine told me something similar to your post ..... She was ESTIMATING her caloric intake and was off by almost 50% when we actually wrote it down.

The calorie counter on this site tends to be very high , so i wouldn't suggest using it , to be healthy losing 1 to 2 pounds per week would be the best .So forget about losing all that weight for the 23 this month .It may take a few months but it will be worth it . Keep couting every calorie as 'mikenencharleston' said and keeep exercising and you will be on your way. Good luck on your journey.

Try taking in around 1600 calories a day of good clean calories a day for starters. The calorie estimator here is broken. Don't be too put down by not losing a bunch of weight right off the bat. It took my wife a month before we got her on track. 1-2 pounds a week is great, especially for the ladies who have a harder time than the fellas with weight loss(sorry it's just genetics). Keep up the good work, and DO NOT QUIT.

Quite often it takes women 8 weeks or longer to start really seeing weight loss, think of it as your body having to reset and trust the new dietary and exercise routine. Enjoy the process and set some realistic weight loss goals.
