My story is a lame one! I used to be a fitness trainer at a local gym. Knew/know much about how to get fit, cardio, powerlifting, bodybuilding.

Gradually my motivation disappeared to a point my workouts are almost non existent. Now I have lost so much mass and gained so much fat, you would never guess what I said about myself above. I am 36 now.

The shame of it all is now than ever I have the financial and time freedom to get in shape, but I am so "out of" it that I do not even know where to start!

Has anyone suffered this problem before?
Any recommendations on jump starting a stalled fitness program?

Well Jixy you know the way now you just need to push yourself getting started.
You are 36 years old so why not set new goals to reach before your 38 or 40?
You decide your life and body, nobody else does.
Jump back on the track! Good luck.

Jixy -
I had the same problem when I started my own business and left the club. I was/am no longer surrounded by fit people all day long and it isn't as motivating.
Maybe you need to enter a competition or set your goals on a contest of some type.
Or maybe you just need to go back to all of your old training manuals and remind yourself of all of the health reasons there are to work out.
Look up my post "Get motivated", it has a lot of good info.
Having been a trainer, you know that the best way to start out is gradually getting into it.
Why not set a goal each week (this week I will do 20 minutes of cardio, three times), and add a little each week until you are up to the level of working out that you desire.
Imagine yourself with better energy levels, more enthusiasm.
You have an advantage over other 36 year olds in that you were in good shape before - the body remembers and will get back to that shape easier than if you were just starting from scratch!
Come on! You know the whys and hows - just do it!
