okay. so I just came off from an hour of cardio and I'm pretty much pumped with endorphins right now...I would just like to say that:

YOU PEOPLE ARE AMAZING. absolutely awe-inspiring, and this ain't lip service too. Normally, people would demand money just to dish out a piece of advice, and you give it for free! You have no idea how I respect that.

I go back here everytime and I'm inspired just reading your posts. so I thought I'd let you all know that. *grin* I think I say this in behalf of all the newbies who visited :)

Cheers!

you wont be a newbie forever, in 6 months you'll be giving the information out. we all try and help because we enjoy helping, we enjoy working out, and we want to help others to feel the same way, and improve their life. but without the site it wouldn't be possible, and also if the site didn't exist i would probably have a better tan.

Not to bad in sparring you have head gear on and most people will just pitter patt at you just to get the technique down....Also hey you dont always have to get hit in the face just have good defense...My biggest fear is a broken nose though

a broken nose can mess your face up, and it makes your eyes water, and you don't want people to think your crying do you. i thought you got you knock out whilst sparring, sounds real safe to me....

I think my insurance would cover surgery for a broken nose...Hell I go into work all the time w/ a busted lip and black eyes...People point and laugh all the time but only if they knew what I was doing to get them...His headgear was slipping off his head and I catched his jaw, common mistake on his part for the Knockout....

cupcake-Their are girls in my gym who give me a run around that how I got my 1st black eye is by a girl...Good lord could she punch...Great boxer she was a amatuer champ for the state *ouch*

yeah...and I'll kick their butts if they dare give me a black eye or a broken nose.

With the right defense you should be able to protect yourself from where you dont want to get hurt...Protecting the face is a great idea especially since that is where your chin is...However I've seen people go out on a body shot...If you hurt the body the head will die <--True

HowdieKat you just blow me away ma'am :). Goldengloves is my new boxing idol and Charlie, I don't have pink icing, but I got extra adipose that I need to dispose of quickly, if you like

Nah, I'm not planning on going anywhere, I'm super-glued to the site already. Rock on ft! :dumbbell:

you guys crack me up.:laugh:

okay I'm close to blimpsize, thus the workouts and the near-obsession with being healthier. I like cardio, it's one of the easier things on my routine, just need the right music and a lot of water.
