I enjoy doing cardio, I usually run about 2 miles a day and sometime 3 miles depending on how I am feeling. I understand that its probably good to rest, but I am addicted to running everyday, other wise I feel like I am gaining weight or something, will 16 min. of intense running everyday affect my muscle, mass? or lean muscle? I need some opinions please.

I do 15 mins cardio everyday and this has had no effect on my muscle growth progress. The trick is not to over do the cardio and try to aid the aerobics with a good intake of complex carbs.
In my opinion this is the right way to train - its also a good compromise between muscle growth and general fitness.
Stick with it shooter...if you struggle with the muscle gains adjust your protein/carb intake.

If you are use to move a lot, you don't have any problems of recovering and running a little bit every day makes you happy, then I cannot see why stopping......
Just adapt your diet.

Well, by your profile, your goal is to get cut. So, if this is your priority, then proper resisitance training with your running will be fine. If your goal becomes to gain muscle mass more, then that much running will definitely impede your progress. You are constantly pretty much depleteing glycogen, which always has to be replenished first and foremost in the bodily processes. There is nothing that can be done to change this step in the bodies cycle. So, unless you are taking in a ton of nutrients, and even then you probably can't get enough, your muscle gains will be somewhat impeeded as compared to someone who didn't do all the running you do. One thing that concerns me though is your notion of you feel like you will get fat if you don't run! This may be bordering on obsession. Anyway, one thing I at least would do, make sure your weight training and cardio are 6-8hours apart, or on opposite days. This will give you a bit more recouperation time/feedings to preserve muscle mas. I would also supplement amino acids if you don't now for insurance.

As far as genetics go, the skies the limit. You are limited only by your mental perception of it.

i started pumping iron a couple of weeks ago and im already seeing gains and i didnt use any supplements yet. My only problem seems to be combining the cardio with the weights. Im 5`7 and 140 pounds..i have this midsection and these love handles that ide love to lose. I understand that this reigon can only be targeted using a good diet and cardio workouts. Thing is, whenever i hit the treadmill or the bike for some a good 3 km run in 20 minutes people keep telling me that i'll lose mass doing that. my goal is to gain mass but this midsection ruins everything, can you see my confusion
please tell me how to include cardio in my workout without losing the mass im gaining.

One of the biggest misconceptions in bodybuilding is that cardio is necessary for fat loss. There is a way to lose fat while maintaining & it is called diet. The key to dieting for fat loss is not to restrict your calories too much, only about 600 calories less than your adjusted basal metabolic rate requires.(if you dont have a bmr calc just run a search on "bmr calculator" and you'll find more than need with complete instructions) Once you figure out the amount of calories you need per day simply subtract 600 from that number and divide the remaining calories between 5-6 meals per day( it is very important that you eat every 3 hours to maintain a healthy metabolism) This should allow you to lose a little over a pound of fat per week while still gaining muscle. I hope this helps.
