I am, of course, not an expert, but if you eat more to compensate for the calories lost then how are you going to actually lose weight? In the end you calorie intake would be the same, and in order to lose weight you need to have your calorie intake be less overall, so definitely don't eat more. I don't know how you are calculating your daily caloric needs, but if you are using the FT nutrition program, then you definitely should consume just as many calories as they say as long as it works for you.

I'm no expert but I would GUESS (and its only a guess.. I haven't seen squat on this anywhere) that you would just follow your diet plan as normal if your doing the one FT suggested for you. If you picked a fat loss one and you are working out then the calories (probably more from protien and carbs.. ft has such a low amount of fat usually set.. its hard for me to hit) you get from your diet should be enough to cover any muscle gains and so on..

You are so right. Losing weight is a question about total calorie intake......

Hmmm look at it this way; You want to loose weight so you eat healthy and weight train at least 2-3 times weekly. Your diet is based on that. Now doing cardio (3-5 times weekly) is just a PLUS to burn fat and calories faster.

Nope, eating an extra sweet chocolate brownie and then do 30 mins of jogging, DOES NOT WORK!!!!! (o:
