Have you tried electro shock therapy? It works for mice. LOL just kidding! Seriously though snacking can become very detrimental especially in a boring sedentary desk job. he best thing I found to do is try some suar free chewing gum or siping a cup ov herbal tea(greentea is great as it also has metabolic boosting properties) & above all WILLPOWER, I know that can be a tough one but sometimes its the only way.

Are you getting enough protein at breakfast? Are you getting in a decent amount of calories, a small, balanced meal every three hours? Sometimes what we think is failure in willpower is really our body pushing us to consume enough.
Keep a small bag of high-fiber, low sugar cereal for snacking on, lots of water, or tea.
Good luck!

Once I started making myself stick to an eating shcedule of every 2-1/2 to 3 hours, I quit snacking. It seems like I am eating all the time with that schedule so my body doesn't tell me to reach for a snack be cause it either just ate or is about to. Try making yourself a schedule and having small healthy meals and snacks to eat at the designated times.

I think drinking water helps, in my office we have a water dispensory thingy, this usually helps beat the cravings. You could also change what your snacking on or even stop taking money into work.

Bingo!! Azredhead57, when did you get so smart!! LOL...her post is exactly correct. And another thing, probably the worst thing about snacking is most of them are high sugar snacks..so that leads to the pancreas secreting insulin in response to the sugar, which is usually overproduced, lowering blood sugars too much, thus making you crave another snack in a short period of time. It is a vicious cycle to get into.

bb1fit, you are exactly correct about the snacks being high sugar. and YES they do make me crave another snack soon after! I have started to sip on H2O and other liquids. I have also been reading fitness books and magazines to keep me motivated and to pass time till my next meal. Everyone has been such a big help. thanks!
