When doing cardio how many calories should I be looking to lose, I want to really slim done my bf% so I can show my abs. I usually use about 420 calories, or at least thats what the machine says, should I aim for more?

If you stick to a fat burning level for about 1hr 5days a week, you should be on your way, but also watch your diet if you are trying to burn fat. Also vary your exercise using the bike, stairmaster, step machine and treadmill or just by going on a long walk. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Oh don't count on the calories written on the machines...... The machine doesn't know you so it just calculates the average from the resistance and the time you've spend training on it. Just DO the cardio, weight train and watch your diet and you're on the right way.

I have always thought that it is best to go for time and intensity when doing cardio. Not by how many cals I have burnt. Do ing that will drive you crazy! LOL
