What is the best way that I can gain weight. Posibly the most fastest if there is a way. Currently, I weightlift, and will begin takin protein supplments. I am 25, male, 160 pounds. Are there any supplements that don't have bad side effects and any advice for good protein shakes?

Eat 5-6 meals per day. If you are seriously trying to gain, pastas, peanut butter, brown rice, potatoes, whole grain breads, loads of vegetables, and lots of lean protein. Shoot for 1-1 1/2 gr. of protein per lb. of bodyweight. A good starting point may be 12 cal. per lb. of bodyweight. If in a couple weeks you are not gaining, then you have a place to start from and increase to 14-18 cal., keeping carbs, protein and fats proportional. Lift heavy and get plenty of rest. If you gain too fast, like with a weight gainer, you will put on nothing but fat. Look in the diet section of FT and you will find many protein shake ideas. Good luck.
