An Arm Problem

I know that alot of people can relate to this problem. It seems that no matter how much I work out my arms they never seem to fit my body. Now I thought of a solution but I want to verify it with someone who knows more on this to see if its safe. The plan is to work out either the bicep or the tricep every other day after each workout, but still keep my regular arm day.....is it safe to do?? Is their somthing that you would do diffrent???

Also, I skip out on Hammer Curls alot, I really never see people emphazise on doing these curls on a regular basis, are they important enough excersise to get a "bigger" looking arm??? or is it mostly just bicep and tricep excersies?? Im open for any suggestions... any advice could help!:surprised:

well one hows your diet?
and two what excercises do you do for the arms? these both play an important role?

List your diet, and current arm routine. Doing tris and or biceps every other day will get you nowhere fast....

My diet, Its balanced (I think) Cereal for breakfast (Usally...) Im big on fruits (Bannanas, oranges, apples, strawberrys) Protein shake 45 mins before work out, cell tech after workout, lots of chicken (Dont eat seafood...allergic), eat lots of rice and beans, and salads protein shake before I got to bed with a centrum vitamin pill.....

Excersises consists of Lying Triceps Extensions, Close Grip Presses, Standing Barbell Curl, and Cheat Curls...somtimes preacher and hammer

I also do a do alot run about 1 1/2 miles a day on the tredmil or track, i want to get big but keep the "ripped
" look.....suggestions

hmmmmmmmmmm...........how much protein you eat in a day? you need atleast your body weight 200lbs =200g

need some protein after your work out as well( protein shake with water) the milk will slow the digestion down........personally i think cel tech a waist of money. but anyways besides that are you eating 4 to 5 meals a day, your gonna have to add abotu 5 or 6 lbs of all over body mas for the arms to get bigger.

Wow...I have always taken nitro tech with milk...thanks for that, I take about 160 g and im 195 pds.... I need to improve on that...how about the hammer curls???

I have to agree with Andrew - sounds like you need more protein. any veggies??

How many sets & reps??

another thing. if you wanan bulk up. bulk up you can't stay "ripped" and gain size..........one is a surplus of calories, the other is trying to cut body fat by reducing. Your fighting you self here. I say get big 1st YOu need a stone before it can be carved.........gain to about 210 or 215, then cut up a lil bit back down to 200, then bulk back up again to about 220, then cut down to 210....see yoru slowly getting bigger, then cutting the away. But don't do both. That may be why your not seeing god results.
Are you getting enough rest and days off as well?

veggies, I lack in those alot.....I like tomatoes, brochlii, carrots, ect. usally all the vegitables are in my salads =)..... Im also in the military and work a "VERY" tight schedule..... So I dont have much time to prepare foods..... What are the best veggies to consume...what I mean by that is what have the best results/outcome/effects with your body....understand???

the rest is an issue. I usally get in only about 5 hours... and thats a good sleep, now on my days off I can get a good 8 hours in...(I work 14 hour shifts....were undermanned due to Operation Enduring Freedom)

hammer curls hit the brachalis more, this will make the whole arm as a whole look biger, and will h elp and give you more of a "3-D" look to your forarms. I'd say so them at least once a week.
try this and see if you like it, it added a good 1/2 in to my arms a a month or so.

on the day you do biceps.....

barbell curls 5x10
hercules's 2x15
pretcher curls 3x12
incline curls faliure
dips 5x10

day you do triceps
close grip 1/2 bench ( go down about 3 in above chest and explode upward) 4x10
kick backs 2x15
skull crushers 4x10
behind the neck tricep extenions 3x12
1/2 curls 4x10( sit down, and let the barbell or dumbell drop no lower than you lap, and curl up ward) you can do alot of weight this way

try this, you train the arms 1.5 times a week, nto 2 times not one time, but 1.5 lol, that way you get just a lil extra shock to the muscle.
