Well, here's the deal. I was always thin, but pretty cut and in good shape. Over the years, I lost my abs, but the rest of me was OK. About a year ago, I stopped working out regularly due to work and overall laziness. I also stopped watching my diet. Needless to say, i packed on about 20 pounds, and now I have a pretty big belly. I look like a skinny fat guy, and i hate it.
My problem is that I want to bulk up some, BUT, I REALLY wanna lose the belly. Completely. The problem is that if I lose weight from anywhere else on my body, Im going to start looking too thin. Yet, I have no choice but to lose weight everywhere else, due to the inability to spot reduce. I don't want that, yet I don't want the belly.
I'm on the verge of blowing a ton of cash on mesotherapy to just get rid of the belly because I'm not interested in losing too much weight, nor am I interested in waiting to put on weight (muscle) to take it off (fat) because that will take at least a year.
But, before i go that route, i figured I would look here as you guys are usually pretty sound in advice and knowledge. So I was hoping perhaps you could give me some insight on a proper way to approach this through diet and exercise, and how you would recommend I accomplish such a feat.
Advice and/or suggestions?

Personally I think you need to get your diet in check. If you do not change now, what makes you think you will change if you had the procedure? Second you need to get on a consistent lifting program. Give both of those a good chance before you throw your money away. Nothing comes easy and if you want lasting results you need to make a lifestyle change. If you choose the quick fix you will probably gain it all right back. Good Luck

It kind of sounds like you already have the answer and the answer is that it won't happen fast. You didn't get the way you are now over night and it won't go away a whole lot faster.

yeah, you want us to say what? Go the easy route, which will cost a lot more and may reverse itself.
Start lifting heavy, eating clean and do it the right way.
Nothing worth having comes easily.
Also you will have some muscle memory if you were fit before
You can't bulk and cut simultaneously, but you can stay as muscualr as you are and lose fat.

I know a few people who did the "doctor" way - within 2 years they had gain the wieght back plus some. You have to make the commit to diet & execrise either way you go if you want to keep the idea body.

I am not looking to do the cosmetic way as a replacement for diet and exercise, I am currently eating clean and exercising, and of course would continue that to avoid gaining the weight back. And I have no issue with hard work. I DO HAVE A HUGE ISSUE with either looking too skinny. I hate that i can't bulk and cut simultaneously. I hate that in order to lose my belly, I have to lose everywhere, including some muscle. Thats my problem.
