I am getting ready to start this on Saturday. I need to put on some mass in the next 16 weeks. Has anybody done this provided program and what kind of results?

I know one has to eat food and drink water like a horse. I am already drinking a gallon of water a day and about 1/2 gallon of milk a day. I will getting about 3600 calories a day with about 250 grams of protein. Also, I will be taking Now Adam, Animal Flex, Animal M-Stak and Scivation Xtend during workouts. Also Whey Protein to fill in gaps when I don't have time to cook etc.

Any feedback is welcome. Thanks!

Your profile says that you're trying to get down to 10% bf, but this post talks about gaining mass and eating like a horse. Which one is it?

If he ate like a horse he would be eating a lot of grass... I know, I know...I'm an asshole

Fitinboise, you would probably be better off posting this in a bodybuilding forum and/or asking BB1Fit about this. Most of us here are into powerlifting/strength training for whatever reason. Good luck

Yeah, that profile info is almost 2 years old. I need to update it.

Also, the reason I am posting in the powerlifting/strength section is I have not lifted enough to worry about bodybuilding lifts. I still need to pack on more mass and to do that I need to gain more strength still. I believe I still have a good 3-5 mos. left of newbie gains to benefit from. Hmm..maybe I answered my own question.

In any case, I am also considering starting with Chad Waterburys, "The Waterbury Method".

Thanks for the feedback.

Hmm. I went to update my profile and hit "GO" and it erased all my new info. Now it says "null".

try one of the many 5x5 programs, milk and squats, or horizontal push/pull--quad--vert push/pull--hip programs...

I like the 5x5, but The Waterbury Method is also very good. I think you will like it.

Pemdas, have you done The Waterbury Method? I just really like how he splits up the sets and reps in it, looks like a fun workout. Plus lots have gotten great results from what I've read.

Also, I ordered a couple of Rippetoes books so I may hit his 3/5 x 5 program after Waterbury. I need to practice my squat form first before I hit Rippetoes though. I plan on doing very light weight and high rep squats on my cardio days to get my form down.

Well, I did one Waterbury workout but then switched to Rippetoes workout since I got my squat form down. I am really liking it so far. I do Bar Dips and Chinups as my two accessory exercises.

Been doing Mark Rippetoes Starting Strength for about 6 weeks now. Getting great results. All of my big 3 lifts have really shot up. Buying the book was huge, it's worth it's weight in gold. Also, yesterday I finally started doing Power Cleans. I'm liking them so far.

I tried to update my profile but it just erases after I do so not sure what is going on with that. I am up to 198 lbs. now. I was in the 170's 2 years ago.

Yeah, your right. I thought it was 6 weeks. It has been closer to 4, sorry. I guess I should say I have been doing basic powerlifting workouts for 6 weeks then moved to Rippetoes after 2 weeks.
