You might want to eat more than bread... Eggs are very cheap here in the U.S., but I don't know how much they are in your country. You will improve your strength by training, but to achieve all your goals you need to eat a variety of foods. Good Luck -------------- Vaya con Dios... Keith |

I concur. Milk and bread alone probably won't produce the results you are looking for. Eggs are an excellent source of protein, eat lots of them! What about rice? Rice is a wonderful carbohydrate rich food and is low in fat. I try to eat 2 grams of protein per one pound of my body weight, to increase muscle growth (I am trying to gain mass). That is high, by some standards, but has worked great for me. You should be striving for between 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. The 6 meals a day is great though. Adjust your caloric intake to fit your plan. Eat more = get bigger. Just make sure it is GOOD for you. It sounds like you have no problem there. |

If you can't get your hands on meat there are plenty of other foods that you can get protien from... things like cottage cheese (there was a thread about this recently..), beans, egg whites, and I think nuts... Also I guess if there is anywhere around you that you could go fishing every now and again.. that would be a cheap way of getting some meat.. lol.. I'm not sure though as I'm allergic to fish and can't even touch it... You might want to look at various vegan or vegetarian bodybuilding diets to get an idea of what foods other than meat are out there for you to get protien from...http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/vegetarian-bodybuilding.asp There is a link I found just now that should help.. although there are a lot of supplements in that diet you should be able to look at the various types of foods that they include in a meal plan.. |

Yes, but there are several types of proteins you need to get. All the suggestions here are sound. Lentil beans are high in protein, and ft has all the nutrition info in the guide on the site. That way you can look through and see what is available to you that will help you meet your goals. Don't forget veggies! -------------- And my soul must be iron, because my fear is naked. You'll need to eat veggies and fruit for the vitamines otherwise you'll not stay healthy and grow muscles. To answer your other question, when you work out, your muscles get pumped with water and blood and look fuller (that's why the athletes are training before jumping on stage). In the mornings you're dehydrated and your muscles are relaxed. -------------- - Nina :o) La vie est toujours aussi belle..... |

1 lb is about 450 grams. So 2 pounds are a bit less than 1 KG. |
